My first step into rediscovering myself. hoping to one day possess the skills to such a beautiful art..
I am new to blogging and somewhat awkward, and don't know what to write. I love pretty things, like to see nail art and makeovers and such. I do intend to actually post my manicures as my skills improve with nail art and such, I might even start posting pics. But these will probably be sporadic and even pathetic attempts while I learn so ... Bear with me please. :)

Back again!

Wow! It's been awhile since I blogged. I have been very busy with school and work. I just got a neww computer, so it doesn't take me an hour to load each page now, so hopefully I can get back to some blogging!

So... I change my nails every week now, but haven't even thought about taken pics! Everyone at work seems to like my nails, so I must be getting better. I have done a lot of cute designs, I wish I could go back in time to photograph them! Anyway, I have had many compliments on them, and everyone is surprised when they find out that I do them myself. It makes me feel so proud. I even have a few people that want me to do their nails, but I'm not too comfortable with that idea yet. Maybe after I've had a little more practise. Well, I started doing subtle Halloween nails the beginning of this month. The first week I did Sally Hansen's Pumpkin Spice over black polish. It was so pretty. Even some GUYS at work gave me compliments. Then the next week were Halloween colored cupcakes. Next I did Nicole by OPI Black Texture (Crackle) over an orange base. My ring fingers were the accent finger: Orange Jack O'Lanterns. The kids at work especially liked those. This week I want to do either candy corns or black cats in a full moon. On Halloween I want to do some Halloween art, so I am looking up some ideas in other nail blogs.

Some other designs I did before Halloween were Pink base coat with brown paw prints, and a brown cat as my accent finger. I put some sparkly red glitter polish for the eyes, it was really cute. Then I did some blue polish with Crushed Candy Crackle. (so it was blue w/light blue crackle). Those started chipping early, so to make it last a full week, I just topped the tip of my nail with white polish like frosting and added a red circle rhinestone on the tip for cherries. Made it look like yummy blue cupcakes. Well, there have been a lot of designs, those are the most recent that I can remember. I really wish I got pics of those.

Well, no going back now! Basically between my weightloss, new makeup skills, and new nail skills, I have been a new person at work. I am so glad I got into reading blogs this year, and learning things I never thought I would be able to learn!

For now, I have more homework due, and have to figure out what I am going to do to my nails this week! Maybe I might even get some pics posted. Wish me luck!!
